This course has no entry exercises and no demo. It consists of six short lessons of prose — the first one is open right now, in full, with no signup.
Read "The elephant in the room". If the text meets you, the other five are right there. If not, you spent ten minutes and owe nothing.
Why there is nothing to "try out"
The course teaches no technique and sets no graded tasks. It is a map of distinctions: how to tell a practice that meets a person from a practice that isolates one. You do not try out a map — you look at it.
The only real "exercise" of the course — assembling your circle — happens not on this site but with living people, and no sooner than you yourself want it.
What this course will not do
The honest part, without which the rest would be advertising.
- It will not give you a state. No calm, no clarity, no "depth" — the course produces no experiences and promises none. It is reading about distinctions, not a practice; what to do with the distinctions is up to you.
- It will not replace psychotherapy or a doctor. There are states with which the right move is to see a specialist, and no text cancels that visit. The course repeats this boundary more than once — and not as a formality.
- It will not assemble your circle for you. Lesson five gives the rules, but the living people, the calendar, and the resolve to meet are yours. The circle may not gather this month or this year; that does not mean the course "failed".
- It will not name "the right school". The course gives questions, not a ranking: no recommendations, no list of "vetted" ones. The decision about who gets your time remains entirely yours.
If the text met you
Then the rest is simple: five more lessons, the same prose, the same tone. At the end — a short list of questions you can take with you and put to any school.
If it did not — that is an answer too, and an honest one. Not every text is for every season; the page will stay open.
